Black Bear Diner

About

Sitting at the edge of Orem’s newly refurbished University Mall and just minutes from BYU’s Provo campus, this diner makes the perfect stop for shoppers, game-goers, and families. Our spacious dining area will accommodate large groups while our teams provide the small town, personalized service you’d expect from a hometown diner. We’re a little hidden on the southeastern side of the University Mall parking lot (800 E and University Parkway) but well worth the hunt.

Our family was very hungry after all day of visiting Provo. Service was great, food was so delicious. The environment was very family friendly. Looking forward to coming back. Thanks!!!

I hope you have a few hours to spare.. it takes half the day just to get a bite to eat. I mean if it's a holiday or a Saturday morning I get it. And I'm not one of those people showing up during peak hours surprised to find a 45 minute wait.(45 minutes is generous) It's one thing to be slow but they brought me my drinks and coffee, cream, and sugar, with no silverware, napkins or straws. And on the rare occasion somebody brings you anything they run away from the table as fast as they can before you can ask them for anything. I then finally got my pancakes with no syrup or butter. I ordered hash browns with cheese and bacon and they came without it. God this place sucks.

What a fantastic restaurant!!! This was my second time coming and it was just as good, if not better the second time! Really friendly staff, so accommodating! I am gluten-free and they do have some options available! Just ask the staff, they typically know what food can be made gluten free! Delicious and good service! Best part of the night was their concern over a prime rib that was a little undercooked—the waitress and kitchen manager came out to see what they could do to help and offered free sides! Quick and efficient! Alexis was the manager and he was so great! Would highly recommend to anyone, they have a variety of options and wonderful service!!! I will definitely be coming back!

Last I checked, they don't do reservations... But I suppose it could have changed.

Most likely. Especially for breakfast

Since this is a public forum, you would need to call and ask them directly, as they probably will not see this question.
